Lam Research invests $1.7B in Tualatin

Mackenzie is proud to be part of the team working on the Tualatin, Oregon campus of Lam Research. 

 

'"In the AI era, the pace of innovation is relentless," President and CEO Tim Archer said. "We are investing with the intention of staying ahead of what our customers need."'

 

The new, state-of-the-art lab is part of a more than $3 billion planned expansion of Lam's global lab network over the next five years, with an expected $1.5 billion on major R&D laboratories in Washington County over the next decade and a half. 

 


"The investment underscores Silicon Valley's continued role in the semiconductor industry's AI buildout. As demand for advanced processors rises, chip manufacturers and their suppliers are increasing spending on new technologies needed to produce more powerful and energy-efficient devices."
