Mackenzie client Lam Research plans to invest, "more than $3 billion over the next five years to expand its global research and development lab network, though the company did not specify how much would go toward facilities, equipment or hiring," according to the Business Journal.
"The announcement follows the approval of a proposed agreement with Washington County and the city of Tualatin, Oregon, under which Lam intends to invest up to $1.7 billion there through 2041. The project would support a multibuilding R&D campus and is projected to create nearly 450 direct research jobs, though it still requires state approval."
