Mackenzie-designed Addition to DoveLewis Animal Hospital Provides Vital Training Space

The workshops are being held in DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital's new community room space, an important part of the new three-story addition to the DoveLewis campus.

Mackenzie designed the facility and Skanska built it.

"Project Whiskers" doubled DoveLewis’s facilities in Northwest Portland. It’s just across the street from their existing hospital. It includes specialized treatment areas, modern imagery spaces (MRI, x-ray, ultrasound), surgery rooms, among many other features.

"Our goal is to give handlers the confidence and knowledge to protect their K9 partners in any situation," says Dr. Tauber. "These dogs are essential to public safety, and every second counts when they encounter opioids, accidents, or other hazards. Being prepared can save lives."
