Project Agate is about shared prosperity and sustainable economic growth for the greater Portland region. 

The project is led by the Port of Portland and will eventually provide more than 150 quality jobs, as defined by The Port’s quality employer standards. 

A special part of the project are the requirements, written into the Master Services Agreement, that the more experienced contractors hire and mentor small businesses, particularly local businesses and BIPOC owned businesses. 

To create this development The Port worked with Specht Development and Colas Development while also collaborating with the City of Gresham. Mackenzie was the lead designer for the project, along with design, construction, and real estate partners: Summit Engineering, BIM Connection, Bainbridge Design, Perlo Construction, Colas Construction, JLL, and Salvador Bloom Properties.
