A project long in the making, Oregon State University’s new Harborton Street Housing adds a range of amenities for researchers. It's located near the Hatfield Marine Science Center campus but outside the tsunami hazard zone. Crucially, it relieves a bit of pressure on the local housing market.

It was completed through a unique design-build partnership, an innovative construction process, and allows Hatfield Marine Science Center to grow.

To complete it, Mackenzie collaborated with O'Brien-Lucas Ventures, a joint venture partnership of O'Brien and Lucas Design+Build. Other project partners included: Freres Engineered Wood, Arris Consulting & Landis Consulting LLC.
