This large-scale ecommerce project represents a giant investment in the local economy, generating about 1,500 jobs. The five-story fulfillment facility is located on a 90-acre site beside I-5 in Woodburn, Oregon.
DESIGN DRIVERS
Project Basie is the largest of its kind in Oregon for this ecommerce retailer.
The facility is five-stories tall, and contains state-of-the-art inventory management technology for order fulfillment.
The project was designed and delivered on a fast-track schedule, requiring extensive coordination between all team partners.
“Woodburn has been planning for significant residential and industrial development projects that will enhance the community for many years,” Derickson said. “We are excited to see that investments the city has made in expanding the urban growth boundary, completing transportation system improvements and expanding access to affordable housing are now beginning to attract the private sector capital necessary to develop projects that provide economic stability and significant employment opportunities for Woodburn residents.”
