The New Molalla Police Station strengthens community trust by balancing officer safety, operational efficiency, public accessibility, and emergency preparedness.

Our design maximizes usable area while prioritizing daylight, secure exterior views, and shared spaces to support staff resilience.

A mass-timber roof, a future-focused layout, and a balance of secured and community spaces make the Molalla Police Station a modern civic asset.

The public plaza and adjacent community room define a natural secure line between community spaces and police operations, while a secure 24/7 emergency vestibule provides immediate refuge and direct access to dispatch services.
The mass-timber roof honors Molalla’s deep connection to the timber industry and the publicly accessible lobby features signage and furniture made from wood reclaimed from the bowling alley that once occupied the site.
Our design of the station is adaptable without relying on future physical expansion. The patrol area is organized for flexibility, allowing workstations, storage, briefing functions, and team configurations to shift as priorities change. Individual, unisex shower and changing rooms reduce redundancies in support spaces and maximize operational efficiency. Dual vehicle access points to secure parking improve response times and maintain emergency operations while preserving public access.
