Oregon State University's Lorenz Soccer Field at Patrick Wayne Valley Stadium has hosted NCAA Tournament matches and has been the home of All-Americans and future professional soccer players.
DESIGN DRIVERS
Working with a long-time client on a condensed project timeline, Mackenzie and the design team added thoughtful improvements to this historically beloved soccer facility while staying under budget.
The team designed renovations to the existing sound booths as well as an addition of a press box and filming location.
The design team’s work also included a master plan of the adjoining spaces to ensure all pathways conformed to ADA design standards, relevant building code, and increased student safety with well-lit pathways.
The project was completed in the short duration between soccer seasons to reduce disruptions to the student athletes’ training.
