This project, the new global R&D headquarters of a confidential advanced tech client, involved redesigning several hundred thousand square feet to optimize world-class lab and office space. The Mackenzie team also provided conceptual design services for a reimagining of the campus as a whole.
DESIGN DRIVERS
The design provides flexibility to support the operation of a highly advanced tool set.
The team worked closely with the client and MEPP partners on the facility's equipment layouts, including coordination and layout of high-tech vending and robot equipment. The proposed program also included data centers and electronic testing labs.
The labs will continually evolve in response to market demands, and require adaptability for new workflow, equipment, and team structures.
Security and controlled access were a design focus, to support physical, digital, and operational security.
