El Nido is a proposed 55-unit affordable housing project in Clackamas County, Oregon, with units ranging from 1-3 bedrooms. It will serve families experiencing housing insecurity and the local community through universal and trauma-informed design principles.

The project's developer and owner, Hacienda CDC, is a Latino-led Community Development Corporation that strengthens families by providing affordable housing, homeownership support, economic advancement, and educational opportunities.

 

DESIGN DRIVERS

El Nido uses universal and trauma-informed design to help families experiencing housing insecurity.

The project is designed using principles of universal design and trauma-informed design.
A lobby, support service offices, and a community room with a kitchen will occupy the ground floor to host and facilitate educational workshops.
The project also includes solar panels and support for electric vehicles.
