Originally planned as a park focused on field sports, Rassekh evolved through extensive outreach that engaged more than 600 residents and local schoolchildren. Their feedback revealed a strong desire for two key features: a larger playground and a dedicated skatepark. The result is a $5.2 million, multi-phase park that reflects the interests and needs of the people it serves.
Today, Rassekh Park includes a 10,000-square-foot skatepark, a destination playground, picnic facilities, restrooms, pathways, parking, and supporting infrastructure. The skatepark was added after strong community advocacy and was developed through workshops with local skaters, creating a space that welcomes users of all ages and skill levels.
Equally important, the playground was inspired by drawings and ideas gathered from neighborhood children. Designers transformed those imaginative concepts into an accessible, adventure-filled play environment featuring climbing elements, slides, swings, and a signature sculptural climbing wall built from custom woodwork and carefully selected natural boulders.
